Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join our team at Summerlyn Pet Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our office, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Delegate work to office support staff and establish work priorities to ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation.
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services.
  • Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence.
  • Perform data entry and plan and control budget and expenditures.

Requirements:

  • Efficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Permanent position with 35 hours per week.
  • Fluent in English.
