We are currently seeking a Senior Compensation and Benefits Strategist to join our Human Resources team. This role will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of our compensation and benefit programs. Salary

The salary range for this position is $100,497 - $124,509 annually, commensurate with experience.

Job Description

As a Senior Compensation and Benefits Strategist, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the job evaluation process, including expert advice and guidance to senior leadership and related committees.
  • Developing concise and effective communications and briefing notes related to benefits and compensation as a result of legislative changes, collective bargaining, regulatory requirements, and policy changes.
  • Conducting research and providing expert advice on related legislation, and on competitive trends/practices within peer hospitals and the larger marketplace.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years' progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and pension administration, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • A completed university degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field. Specialist certification as a compensation and/or benefits professional required.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with standards and practices for provincial and federally mandated laws with respect to compensation, benefits, and pensions.
  • Subject matter expertise in all areas of compensation and benefits program design and maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of unionized environments (preferably healthcare) including administration of multiple Collective Agreements.
