Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Benefits Manager to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our compensation and benefit programs. This role will work closely with senior leadership and related committees to ensure timely implementation and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compensation and benefit programs, including job evaluations, annual salary and benefit premium adjustments, and benefit trending.
  • Conduct research and provide expert advice on related legislation, competitive trends, and best practices.
  • Lead annual non-union salary review process and facilitate job evaluation process.
  • Manage the administration of Halton Healthcare's benefits plans, ensuring legislative and contractual requirements are met.
  • Provide trusted advice and recommendations to the Total Rewards team and Manager, encouraging effective solutions-based approach.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and pension administration with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Completed university degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. Specialist certification as compensation and/or benefits professional required.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with standards and practices for provincial and federally mandated laws with respect to compensation, benefits, and pensions.
  • Subject matter expert in all areas of compensation and benefits program design and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
