Job Summary

Halton Healthcare seeks a highly skilled Compensation and Benefits Leader to lead a team of professionals in the delivery of complex compensation and benefit plans. This role will oversee the administration of the Hospital of Ontario Healthcare Pension Plan (HOOPP) for over 5,000 employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Halton Healthcare's compensation and benefit programs, including job evaluations, annual salary and benefit premium adjustments.
  • Develop and communicate concise and effective communications and briefing notes related to benefits and compensation.
  • Conduct research and provide expert advice on related legislation and competitive trends.
  • Lead annual non-union salary review process and facilitate job evaluation process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-10 years' progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and pension administration with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Completed university degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. Specialist certification as compensation and/or benefits professional required.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with standards and practices for provincial and federally mandated laws with respect to compensation, benefits, and pensions.
