Job DescriptionIn this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing compensation and benefit programs that align with our organizational goals and objectives
- Leveraging your expertise in benefits and compensation to provide strategic guidance and support to senior leaders and stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key vendors, partners, and regulatory bodies
- Maintaining knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compensation and benefits administration, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Completed university degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field; specialist certification as a compensation and/or benefits professional required
- Strong knowledge of provincial and federally mandated laws, including Pay Equity Act, Ontario Employment Standards Act, Income Tax Act, and Ontario Pension Benefits Act
- Subject matter expert in all areas of compensation and benefits program design and maintenance, including variable pay, job evaluation, benefit trending, and defined pension plans
- Solid understanding of unionized environments, including administration of multiple Collective Agreements
- Demonstrated success in leading projects/initiatives and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
The salary range for this position is $100,497 - $124,509 annually.
