Job Title: HR Manager Labour Relations

Location: Toronto, Industry: Non-Profit

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager with a strong background in labour relations to join our client on a 10-month contract. This role will focus on providing leadership in labour/employee relations, HR policies, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Labour Relations: Lead collective bargaining efforts, acting as the main negotiator and spokesperson. Ensure compliance with all employment regulations.
  • Human Resources Leadership: Coach and support managers in HR policy interpretation, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Occupational Health & Safety: Oversee safety programs, conduct incident investigations, and manage WSIB claims.
  • Compliance: Stay up to date on HR-related legislation and ensure compliance with provincial regulations.
  • Training & Development: Implement training programs for managers, and support the professional growth of the HR team.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee grievances, conduct internal investigations, and facilitate conflict resolution
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Labour Relations, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in labour relations, including collective bargaining and employee relations.
  • CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
  • Knowledge of provincial employment laws and labour relations legislation.
  • Experience in a unionized environment, preferably in the non-profit or public sector.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
