Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Labour Relations and HR Advisor to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will provide expert advice and support on labour relations, training, and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and interpret collective agreements to ensure compliance and effective labour relations.
  • Advise on employment and labour relations policies, agreements, and issues, providing expert guidance to management and employees.
  • Support management on matters related to the Collective Agreement, including seniority, job postings, and disciplines.
  • Conduct research to design and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate grievance resolution meetings and arbitrations, promoting a fair and respectful workplace culture.
  • Represent the company in joint labour committees, fostering positive relationships with union representatives and employees.
  • Perform related duties to support the day-to-day work of the Human Resources department.

Requirements

  • Post-graduate education with major coursework in Labour Relations or Human Resources, or a related area.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with collective agreements.
  • Strong skills in communication, analytical thinking, planning, and organizing.
  • A strong understanding of labour relations, policies, and procedures, employment legislation, and collective agreements.
  • Strong teamwork and partnership orientation.
