About the Role:

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic students to join our team as Environmental Assistants for a summer experience. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience, develop new skills, and make a positive impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with research, data analysis, and report preparation to support environmental programs.
  • Collect and review information to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Respond to public inquiries and provide support for outreach and education initiatives.
  • Participate in fieldwork, including inspections and investigations, to monitor and enforce environmental compliance.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily work assignments to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution (currently or for the fall semester) OR have graduated within the past six months.
  • Must be at least 15 years of age and a resident of Ontario during the term of employment.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN) for the full duration of summer employment.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
