About the Role
The Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in Environmental Geosciences. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Pursue innovative research in environmental geoscience, combining field-based, lab-based and/or modelling approaches to topics such as geobiology, biogeosciences, interactions between Earth systems, and/or other aspects of environmental geoscience.
- Contribute substantively to both graduate and undergraduate teaching in the Department.
Qualifications
- PhD degree in earth or environmental sciences, geosciences, or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter.
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching.
