About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients based on their needs and program/unit requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, reinforcing patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Continuing Care Assistant Program and Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness. You should also have Current Basic Life Support Certification and demonstrate effective listening skills, as well as communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset. If you are eligible to write the CCA knowledge exam and obtain certification within 1 year from your date of hire, we may consider your application.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. You will be compensated at a rate of $23.71 - $25.70 hourly.

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
