About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As an active member of the patient care team, you will work collaboratively with therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide safe and proficient delivery of interventions for patients with limitations in movement and daily function.

Responsibilities will include checking and cleaning equipment, maintaining treatment and storage areas, and ordering necessary supplies. The successful applicant may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong educational background, including a Grade 12 or GED, and completion of the Rehabilitation Assistant Program. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is also required. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and manage changing staffing and caseload levels.

Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset. Access to reliable transportation is also necessary.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $22.84 - $25.95. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
