About the Opportunity

As a key member of the patient care team, the Rehabilitation Assistant plays a vital role in helping individuals, families, and groups achieve their goals. Working under the supervision of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, this role involves collaborating with the team to deliver safe and effective rehabilitation programs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, promoting movement, occupation, and function to enable clients to meet their expected outcomes.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will have completed the Rehabilitation Assistant Program, which includes both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy components. A Grade 12 or GED is also required, as well as Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver rehabilitation programs under the supervision of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to promote movement, occupation, and function
  • Contribute to the implementation and modification of rehab programs and services
  • Check and clean equipment, maintain treatment and storage areas, and order necessary supplies
