Job Title: Prime Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Prime Therapist to join our team at Homewood Ravensview, a leading mental health and addiction treatment center in Canada.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic services to clients, including assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing support. As a Prime Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with clients and members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide consultation and training to team members in specific areas of expertise
  • Liaise with referral sources and other relevant outside organizations to provide written progress reports
  • Support client discharge planning and coordinate outpatient counseling and other referrals to appropriate community resources
  • Advocate for clients to promote self-advocacy and develop safety plans
  • Provide supervision and other learning experiences for students
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling) is required
  • Registration with a professional body in the province of BC (e.g. College of Social Workers, College of Psychologists, etc.)
  • Training and familiarity with CBT, DBT, CPT, and mindfulness modalities
  • Knowledge of addictions along a mental health continuum of care
  • Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines and maintain ethical therapeutic relationships
  • Ability to effectively run group sessions with complex and diverse clientele
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
