Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Prime Therapist to join our team at CB Canada. As a Prime Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality mental health services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide ongoing therapy sessions
  • Ensure continuity of care and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Provide consultation and training to team members on specific areas of expertise
  • Liaise with referral sources and other relevant organizations to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Support client discharge planning and coordinate outpatient counseling and referrals to community resources
  • Advocate for clients to promote self-advocacy and develop safety plans
  • Provide supervision and learning experiences for students

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling)
  • Registration with a professional body in the province of BC (e.g. College of Social Workers, College of Psychologists, etc.)
  • Training and familiarity with CBT, DBT, CPT, and mindfulness modalities
  • Knowledge of addictions and mental health continuum of care
  • Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines and maintain ethical therapeutic relationships
  • Ability to effectively run group sessions with complex and diverse clientele
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
