About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Prime Therapist to join our team at Homewood Health, a leading provider of mental health and addiction services in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless services and programs
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Ensure continuity of care is maintained
  • Promote and support team members in their professional practice
  • Provide consultation and training to team members in specific areas of expertise
  • Liaise with referral sources and other relevant organizations
  • Support client discharge planning and coordinate outpatient counseling and referrals
  • Advocate for clients to promote self-advocacy and develop safety plans
  • Provide supervision and learning experiences for students

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling)
  • Registration with a professional body in the province of BC
  • Training and familiarity with CBT, DBT, CPT, and mindfulness modalities
  • Knowledge of addictions and mental health continuum of care
  • Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team
  • Awareness and acknowledgement of the value of measurement-based care
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines and ethical therapeutic relationships
  • Ability to effectively run group sessions with complex and diverse clientele
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
