About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Nexus Systems Group Inc. as a Cloud Compliance Analyst.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure Solutions

Develop and implement secure, scalable, and robust cloud infrastructure solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support application development and deployment needs.

Migrate Applications to Cloud

Migrate existing on-premises applications and services to GCP, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Monitor and Optimize Cloud Environments

Monitor cloud environments, analyze performance metrics, and implement enhancements to meet scalability and cost-efficiency goals.

Implement Cloud Security Measures

Ensure compliance with security and data protection regulations by implementing and managing cloud security tools and best practices.

Collaborate with Development Teams

Collaborate with development teams to architect cloud-native solutions that are optimized for GCP.

Provide Technical Guidance

Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-related issues to IT and development teams.

Stay Up-to-Date with Cloud Technologies

Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and GCP features to continuously improve cloud infrastructure and operations.

Requirements
  1. 10+ Years of Cloud Engineering Experience

10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Proven Track Record of Cloud Experience

Proven track record (completed projects) of designing, deploying, and managing applications on GCP, including experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery.

Infrastructure as Code Experience

5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Cloud Security and Networking Knowledge

Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and IAM best practices.

Scripting Language Proficiency

Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  1. Agile Environment Experience

Previous experience working in an Agile environment is an asset.
