Position Overview:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist at Highbrow LLC, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, designing, and implementing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), storage, and networking solutions tailored for our public cloud platform through automated pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and engineer innovative storage and network technologies to enhance our cloud offerings.
  2. Develop automation scripts utilizing our pipeline and configuration management tools to efficiently deploy and configure cloud resources.
  3. Create comprehensive design diagrams, deployment standards, and technical documentation to guide our engineering efforts.
  4. Establish standard access models and connectivity patterns for storage solutions.
  5. Engineer high-availability and disaster recovery strategies that are repeatable and beneficial for application teams.
  6. Diagnose and resolve network connectivity challenges between cloud resources and on-premises systems.
  7. Collaborate with cloud stakeholders to identify and implement new features and enhancements for existing services.
  8. Support the deployment and troubleshooting of new platforms that utilize our infrastructure services.
  9. Document deployment plans for our services to ensure smooth integration with release and application teams.
  10. Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop remediation strategies to maintain a secure environment.
  11. Work alongside technology and regulatory risk partners to establish compliance requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in infrastructure automation with a strong development background (Python preferred, Java or other languages acceptable).
  • Proficient understanding of public cloud environments, with a preference for Azure and Google, while AWS experience is also valuable.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline technologies and code release processes.
  • Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of public cloud storage technologies including Google Cloud Storage, Azure Storage accounts, and Amazon S3.
  • Strong scripting capabilities in languages like Bash and PowerShell.
  • Experience with network segmentation designs in cloud environments.

Desirable:

  • Practical administration experience with Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering is required. Industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred.
