In collaboration with the Customer Insights Data and Analytics teams, along with our IT partners, the Data and Analytics Technology team is dedicated to supporting the bank's Data and Analytics requirements through effective tooling, project management, and IT operational support. The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, monitoring, and troubleshooting initiatives that span the entire bank, facilitated by Data and Analytics Technology. This encompasses infrastructure development, integration, process automation, and the delivery of innovative projects.

Is this position a fit for you? In this role, you will:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Apply Google best practices to secure managed services for Data and Analytics workloads, including GCS, BigQuery, Vertex AI notebooks, Cloud Composer, and Dataproc.
  • Develop and sustain automation pipelines to securely build and deploy applications and cloud infrastructure.
  • Create monitoring dashboards and alerts to ensure operational oversight of the entire platform.
  • Collaborate with various enterprise security and business applications teams to define and implement cloud architecture and best practices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Stay informed on GCP best practices and recommend enhancements to the existing platform to streamline development and address new security challenges.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to resolve critical incidents related to GCP infrastructure or deployed applications.

Do you possess the skills necessary for success in this role? We would be excited to work with you if you have experience with:

  • DevOps engineer certification or Terraform associate certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Terraform.
  • Previous experience with GCP or other cloud platforms.
  • Functional knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Java.
  • Experience with DBT (optional).
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to complete tasks independently without significant guidance.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
  • A university degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
