About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Apptoza Inc. as a Cloud Engineer. As a key member of our cloud team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Cloud Build.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage containerized applications using Docker, ensuring efficient deployment and scaling of cloud-based systems.
  • Maintain Docker images and manage versions, ensuring consistency and reliability across our cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and software engineers, to integrate AI solutions into existing products and services, driving innovation and growth.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated testing and deployment procedures to accelerate software delivery and improve quality.
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio for managing microservices communication, traffic routing, and load balancing within Kubernetes clusters, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform services and tools, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing workloads on GCP, including familiarity with GKE for Kubernetes orchestration, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Bigtable, and BigQuery for storing and processing data at scale.
  • Proficiency in utilizing GCP's serverless offering like Cloud Functions and Cloud Run for building and deploying event-driven and scalable applications, ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost optimization.
  • Experience in configuring IAM roles and permission on GCP, ensuring proper access control across various services and resources, maintaining security and compliance.
  • Good experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources on GCP, ensuring infrastructure is versioned, reproducible, and scalable.
  • Able to automate the infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using Terraform, creating reusable modules and templates to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including containerization, orchestration, and service mesh technologies.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services and tools, including GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Bigtable, and BigQuery.
  • Proficiency in utilizing GCP's serverless offering like Cloud Functions and Cloud Run.
  • Experience in configuring IAM roles and permission on GCP.
  • Good experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
