About the Opportunity

The Physiotherapy Assistant plays a vital role in the healthcare team, working with individuals, families, and groups to promote health, education, and function. As part of an inter-professional team, the Physiotherapy Assistant provides optimal physiotherapy care and assists patients in achieving their physiotherapy goals. This role requires effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients.

About You

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from a recognized Community College Physiotherapist Assistant program, BLS-C certification, and excellent communication skills. Previous experience working with physically and/or cognitively impaired individuals is an asset. Knowledge of proper body mechanics, anatomy, and basic computer skills is also required. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physiotherapy care and support to patients
  • Assist patients in achieving their physiotherapy goals
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Work collaboratively with the physiotherapy team to provide holistic and comprehensive care
  • Complete standardized outcome measures and implement assigned physiotherapy treatment plans
