About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Physiotherapist Resident to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Physiotherapist Resident, you will have the opportunity to work in a tertiary care setting, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Physiotherapy or an acceptable equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy, and be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. They will also have effective communication and interpersonal skills, computer competency with Microsoft office suite, and competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

The Physiotherapist Resident will work under the supervision of a Program Manager and will be responsible for developing holistic treatment programs using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques to assist patients in regaining and/or maintaining an optimal level of function.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in various locations throughout Nova Scotia, including the Western Zone, Northern Zone, and Eastern Zone.
