Job Overview:
As a strategic HR leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the human resources practices and processes of our client in Alberta. Reporting to management, you will be responsible for driving business success through effective human capital management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract top talent.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program to ensure competitive compensation.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs, promoting continuous growth and development.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics, ensuring data-driven insights inform business decisions.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, maintaining a proactive approach to risk mitigation.

Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive, demonstrating expertise in strategic HR leadership.
  • People-oriented and results-driven, with a focus on delivering exceptional outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases, ensuring efficient management of HR processes.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills, driving organizational change and improvement.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in HR principles and practices.
