About the Role

Auberge du Pommier is seeking a skilled and charismatic Host to join our Front of House team. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity and ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, and Managers to maintain a smooth and efficient service.
  • Escort guests to their tables, engage them in conversation, and ensure they feel welcome and valued.
  • Accurately take reservations and update guest information in our system.
  • Develop a briefing sheet before each shift to inform colleagues of upcoming events, special requests, and important notes.
  • Stay up-to-date with local knowledge, including nearby attractions and directions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas.
  • Stay aware of table numbers and server assignments to provide exceptional service.
  • Fulfill special requests, such as birthday celebrations and anniversaries, and ensure all colleagues are informed.
  • Regularly check and maintain the cleanliness of the washrooms.
  • Follow all food safety standards and protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Passion for delivering exceptional hospitality
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, with restaurant experience an asset
