Job Summary

The Project Coordinator is a key member of the project management team responsible for assisting in the delivery and implementation of assigned capital projects from inception through to project completion. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the control, distribution, processing, and maintenance of all contract documents, including plans, tenders, work orders, and change orders.
  • Assist in developing processes and systems to ensure documents are reviewed and processed quickly and meet Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure standards.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, workshops, and other events as required.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Provide administrative support to project managers and team members as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a field related to construction project management, including engineering, architecture, or business administration.
  • Experience in project coordination or management in the construction industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and provide high-level customer service to different stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, research, and analytical skills to identify and integrate relevant information to determine appropriate course of action or outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to problem-solve, recognize critical issues, and take proactive action.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Office Suite, as well as project management software, including MS Project.

Working Conditions

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must be willing to make occasional visits to work sites within the province by ground, waterways, and air, which may require overnight stays.
  • Must possess and maintain a full stage Manitoba Class 5 Driver's Licence.
