Long-Haul Transportation Professional Wanted for Permanent Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Can Roots Carrier Inc. as a permanent employee.
About the JobThis is a full-time opportunity with a regular 35 to 40 hour workweek, providing a stable income and excellent work-life balance.
Job DescriptionThe primary responsibility of this role is to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently across long distances using articulated trucks.
- Load and unload goods from vehicles in a timely manner.
- Monitor vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, maintaining all aspects of the vehicle.
- Oversee cargo safety and security, ensuring it reaches its destination intact.
In addition to these tasks, you will also be responsible for:
- Relaying information to central dispatch and receiving updates on transportation schedules.
- Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Required Skills and QualificationsApplicants must have a valid Class 1 or A driver's license and relevant experience in the industry.
- A high school graduation certificate is required, but experience is an asset.
