Business Development Director

Job DescriptionThe Royal Conservatory of Music is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence in North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
Main ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and Implementation
- Collaborate with our product teams to develop strategies that maximize revenue opportunities and identify new markets.
- Develop and implement an annual revenue plan that enables us to achieve our revenue goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, craft business models, and foster partnerships to expand our market share.
Revenue Optimization
- Identify best practices for revenue generation and profit-enhancing strategies.
- Pilot and execute sales launches for new products with distribution partners.
- Identify areas of incremental revenue growth opportunities with existing partners.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Review month-end performance and work with internal and external stakeholders to drive incremental revenue.
- Monitor key indicators of product performance and third-party data sources to identify revenue opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide orientation and training to new revenue team members.
- Mentor, develop, and teach revenue team members.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- 7 years of leadership experience in strategic sales and operations in global markets.
- A proven track record in partnership development and revenue generation initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex business data.
- A Bachelor's degree in business administration.
- A high level of written and spoken language competency in Mandarin or other languages is considered an asset.
This role requires a high level of autonomy and flexibility, with occasional requirements to work outside of regular office hours. Travel is expected to be 50% or more as needed for the role.
