Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team at Metro Inc. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our products are displayed and merchandised to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Management: Receive, price, stock, rotate, and merchandise products to ensure that they are displayed in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Department Operations: Ensure that the department is ready for business at all times, and that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service: Implement and adhere to our customer service policy, providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Team Management: Support the Meat Manager in directing the activities of department staff, including hiring, coaching, and training.
  • Store Operations: Support the Meat Manager in ensuring that department standards are met, and that overall store operations are running smoothly.
Requirements
  • Meat Experience: A minimum of [X] years of experience in a meat department, with excellent product knowledge and rotation and merchandising experience.
  • Customer Service Skills: Superior customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional service to our customers.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to stand for prolonged periods of 4-8 hours, bend, twist, and turn, and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Availability: Availability to work days, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, as per the C.B.A.
