Meat Department Assistant Manager

At Metro Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Meat Department team as an Assistant Meat Department Head. This role is responsible for supporting the Meat Manager in ensuring the department is ready for business at all times, implementing and adhering to our Customer Service Policy, and adhering to Company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Receives, prices, stocks, rotates, and merchandises products to ensure optimal sales and customer satisfaction.
- Ensures the department is well-stocked and visually appealing, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Provides exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Supports the Meat Manager in hiring, coaching, and training department staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Assists with overall store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure a smooth and efficient shopping experience for customers.
- Meat experience with excellent product knowledge and rotation and merchandising skills.
- Superior customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform other physical demands of the role.
- Availability to work days, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
