As a Meat Department Assistant Manager at Metro, you will be responsible for receiving, pricing, stocking, rotating, and merchandising products. You will ensure the department is ready for business at all times and implement and adhere to the Customer Service Policy.
You will also adhere to Company policies and procedures and government regulations concerning health & safety, sanitation, security, etc. Additionally, you will perform other duties as assigned by the Manager and support the Meat Manager in directing activities pertaining to department staff, including hiring, coaching, and training.
Responsibilities:
- Receives, prices, stocks, rotates, and merchandises products
- Ensures department is ready for business at all times
- Implements and adheres to Customer Service Policy
- Adheres to Company policies and procedures and government regulations concerning health & safety, sanitation, security, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager
- Supports Meat Manager and directs activities pertaining to department staff, including hiring, coaching, and training
- Supports Meat Manager for ensuring department standards
- Supports overall store operations including store opening and closing
Requirements:
- Meat experience with excellent product knowledge and rotation and merchandising experience
- Superior customer service skills
- Capable of standing for a prolonged period of 4-8 hours; of bending, twisting, and turning; and of lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Available to work days, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, as per the C.B.A.
