About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Betty Gabay. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our clients
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account dietary needs and restrictions
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation
  • Assist with medication administration, as required
  • Perform other related tasks as needed, in accordance with our clients' individual needs and preferences
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as healthcare or social services
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physical tasks as required
