About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Joseph Blauer. As a Home Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and assistance to our elderly clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve meals to clients
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Household Assistance: Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
  • Medication Management: Assist clients with medication management
Requirements
  • Certifications: Secondary school graduation certificate and relevant certifications
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • Language: English/French
  • Availability: 40 hours per week
Physical Demands
  • Bending and Lifting: Ability to bend, crouching, and lifting up to 23 kg
Personal Qualities
  • Dependability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Judgement: Ability to make sound judgements and decisions
  • Reliability: Ability to maintain a high level of reliability and punctuality
  • Patience: Ability to work with clients who may have dementia or other cognitive impairments
