We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Betty Gabay. As a Home Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Assist clients with mobility and provide support with daily activities.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring clients have access to essential items.
Requirements
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required.
Working Conditions

This is a temporary position, working 40 hours per week. The work environment is non-smoking, and optional accommodation may be available at no charge on a live-in basis. However, this is not a condition of employment.
