Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Specialist - Patient-Centred Care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing holistic, quality and safe care to patients within the scope of practice identified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
About the RoleThis is a critical position that requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive care to patients with complex needs.
Responsibilities- Provide patient-focused care that meets the unique needs of each individual
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide evidence-based care to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Manage a workload effectively in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Proven experience in patient-focused care with strong assessment, care planning, and documentation skills
- 2-3 years of acute nursing experience
- Knowledge of the impact of violence on patients
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved program
- Membership in the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA)
- Experience working with SA/DV clients
- Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Training
$83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
