Role Overview

As a Workplace Experience and Operations Specialist with Sodexo Canada Ltd, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional workplace experiences by maintaining audiovisual equipment, coordinating logistics for events, and providing support to customers. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate audiovisual equipment in a hospitality-focused environment, including event setup and teardown, troubleshooting, repairs, and vendor coordination.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including room setups and teardowns, ensuring seamless execution and excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Provide basic support and instruction to customers, addressing and resolving issues with office technical equipment, including diagnosing hardware and software challenges.
  • Manage employee hardware equipment inventory, perform mail, shipping, and receiving activities, and complete ordering, inventory, and stocking of office supplies.
  • Assist with moves, restages furniture, and other specialized office products/equipment, working closely with a network of contractors, vendors, and the landlord to facilitate optimal workplace operations.
  • Coordinate and monitor online service request systems, conduct workplace inspections and audits, and participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in executive meeting support or hotel corporate events support.
  • Hands-on experience with AV systems, Cisco video conferencing systems, and general office equipment.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and administrative skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to employ sound judgment in the resolution of problems and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new software programs.
