Job Title: Data Governance SpecialistThis role is part of the Global Data Management team at Colgate, which is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of product information.
The Data Governance Specialist will serve as the primary contact for business-related questions and will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and currency of our data.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data management tools and technology, as well as experience working with SAP systems.
The Data Governance Specialist will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of product information
- Guiding stakeholders through the complexities of product data management
- Maintaining robust data governance practices
- Facilitating clear communication and providing expert insights to support data-driven decisions
- Validating trackers and dashboards to ensure consistency over different reporting cycles
- Ensuring compliance with internal data management policies and achievement of data-related targets
- Facilitating audits by providing all required data to auditors and ensuring SOX compliance
- Continuously seeking and implementing improvements to streamline and optimize our data management processes
- Generating reports assessing the quality of our data, resolving any disorganized or incorrect data, and participating in initiatives to improve our data quality
The Data Governance Specialist will also be responsible for:
- Handling and leading all aspects of data within SAP
- Conducting regular data quality checks to ensure that our data assets meet the highest standards
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher and at least 2 years of experience working with data management tools and technology.
The Data Governance Specialist will be a key member of the Global Data Management team and will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our product information.
