About the Role

itec group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from initial estimation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning: Lead the estimation process for fabrication projects, analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, subcontractor quotes, and other project-related expenses.
  • Project Scheduling and Budgeting: Develop project schedules, milestones, and budgets, and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Profitability: Maintain project profitability; capturing changes to the scope of work with the customer and warranty charge backs with suppliers.
Requirements
  • Education: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist/equivalent diploma.
  • Experience: Minimum two years' experience in a related field would be considered an asset.
  • Background: Experience in construction project management or a manufacturing background is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge or experience with PMBOK standards & best practices would be an asset.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively support multiple projects to completion; meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD & SolidWorks is an asset.
