Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team at PermaCorp Group of Companies Inc. as a key member of our fabrication and repair department.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and execute welding process specifications to ensure high-quality fabrication and repair of metal parts and products.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate fabrication and repair.
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal parts and products.
- Determine weldability of materials and select appropriate welding techniques and equipment.
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move and position metal parts and products.
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
- Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
- Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Physically demanding work requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, face shield, and welding helmet.
