Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Team Lead to join our team at Opa Souvlaki of Greece. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and leading a team to success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish effective work schedules to meet the demands of our busy restaurant environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members responsible for food preparation and presentation, ensuring that high-quality standards are consistently met.
  • Train and develop staff members in their job duties, as well as ensure they understand important procedures such as sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Determine the necessary ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, taking into account factors such as menu offerings and seasonal fluctuations.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality control, ensuring that both food and service meet the expected standards.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of stock levels, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth and optimization.
  • Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis, keeping management informed of key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the food service industry.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with additional education or training considered an asset.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, as well as relevant certifications or training.
