Our client, a reputable insurer, is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to join their team. As a key player in driving business growth, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with commercial clients.

This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial lines sales and service, with a proven track record of success. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a valid RIBO License and insurance designation (CAIB, CRM, CIP) and a deep understanding of commercial insurance products and services. They will also be proficient in utilizing Agency Manager System (TAM), Policy Works, and insurance company portals, as well as Microsoft applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing timely professional service to clients
  • Servicing commercial accounts consisting of multiple coverages, including Professional Liability, Construction, Surety, Group Programs, Sports, Entertainment, and Commercial Property
  • Managing electronic interfacing with insurers, including applications for new business, endorsements, and renewals
  • Preparing proposals, marketing to insurers, calculating premiums, binding coverage, and preparing documentation
  • Cross-selling and up-selling commercial insurance, assessing risks
  • Monitoring insurance claims activity and assisting clients as needed

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, and opportunities for career advancement in a dynamic and growing industry.
