About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families in our community.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and continuum of patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities to enhance patient outcomes and healthcare services.
  • Utilize electronic medical records to document patient information and communicate with other healthcare providers.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
