About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Director to lead our Contract Logistics team in Montreal. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for directing the daily activities of our multi-client warehouse, including labor scheduling, supervision, and the proper utilization of manpower, equipment, and space for the safe, high-quality, and productive delivery of third-party logistics services to our clients.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure new hires are thoroughly trained, and ongoing training is provided to all employees to ensure their continued success.
  • Oversee associates, manage work schedules, and ensure attendance is accurately recorded.
  • Maintain employee awareness and compliance with QSHE (Quality, Safety & Health, Environment).
  • Analyze process improvements and rollout of the agreed next steps.
  • Establish a clear communication channel between our internal and external stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations to improve operations using continuous improvement techniques, drive cost-saving initiatives, and track savings.
  • You will assist the Distribution Center Manager to establish and ensure the execution of operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and driving active safety programs.
  • Ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Health Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements are met.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing/Retail distribution center environment is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a site leadership role (50+ indirect reports).
  • Knowledge of various production and quality systems (GxP, GMP, ISO, Lean, TPS, Six Sigma).
  • Proficient in Word, Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint.
  • 1+ years of experience with leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Improvement.
