Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operating Engineer to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As an Operating Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and upkeep of our refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and promote a culture of health and safety within the department.
  • Conduct daily checks on refrigeration equipment and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Tour the warehouse regularly to ensure a safe working environment and support warehouse activities.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize disruptions in warehouse operations.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment to optimize utility costs.
  • Respond to alarm calls from the refrigeration system outside of business hours and on weekends.
  • Enforce established safety, health, and contamination policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is essential.
  • Hold a valid B class or higher Refrigeration Operator Certificate (MMF Class B) and preferably a Class A Refrigeration Operator Certificate.
  • Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius.
