Fire Alarm Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K, medical, dental, and vision care from day one.

Job Responsibilities

This role involves receiving service calls, troubleshooting and installing fire & life safety systems, diagnosing problems, and performing repairs at customer sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for following prescribed troubleshooting procedures, reading and interpreting blueprints and technical manuals, and communicating effectively with customers and colleagues.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have a high school graduate or equivalent, 1-2 years of experience in low-voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems. A valid CFAA or ASTTBC Fire Alarm Certificate is an asset. You should also be able to lift equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs and follow verbal and written instructions.
