Kamei on Broadway is seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers. As an integral member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards.

Job Description:
  • We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with at least 3 years of experience in restaurant operations. You will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. You will also oversee inventory management, food ordering, and cost control.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of chefs and kitchen staff to create innovative menus that showcase our commitment to quality and excellence. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new menu ideas, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff to achieve their full potential
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, achieving budget targets while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Foster positive relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and ensuring timely deliveries
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house and marketing, to promote the restaurant's brand and offerings
