About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Chef to oversee the preparation and presentation of our menu items. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, staff supervision, and inventory control. A high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standard
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
- Training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Ordering supplies and equipment as needed
- Supervising kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient service delivery
The Executive Chef will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory, as well as ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in a senior culinary role
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
