At Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL), Genetics and Genomics, we are seeking a talented Board-Certified Cytogeneticist, Board-Certified Molecular Geneticist, or Dual Certified Geneticist to join our team. APL is a multi-site laboratory providing comprehensive services across the province. About the RoleThis challenging position requires analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to manage the fast-paced laboratory environment. You will be responsible for shared coverage with triage, technical oversight, case interpretation, reporting, and consultation of genetic tests. Additionally, you will participate in the laboratory quality assurance program, develop and monitor laboratory protocols, and take on other administrative responsibilities.

This role also offers opportunities for cross-coverage in genetics laboratories based on operational needs and your qualifications and interests.
Teaching and Research OpportunitiesYou will have the opportunity to educate medical students, residents, clinical fellows, staff, and students within the laboratory. Teaching at the University of Alberta is also available, as well as prospects for clinical collaborative research.

Benefits and SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is $82,140 per annum. Classification: ClinicLab Doc Scient BoardCert. Union: LAB EXEMPT. Employee Class: Regular Full Time. FTE: 1.00. Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call. Minimum Salary: $82.14. Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable.
