Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations, managing our culinary team, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian cuisine, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Create new recipes and menus to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets and weddings.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs to ensure our kitchen is well-maintained.
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions to ensure their needs are met.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 30 hours per week.
Work Environment:

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be physically demanding and able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
