Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at MANPASAND INDIAN CUISINE INC. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Create new recipes and menus to ensure a diverse and exciting dining experience.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 30 hours per week.
Work Environment:

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The role will involve a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
