About the Role

As a Payroll Analyst, you'll deliver exceptional customer service to business groups and process biweekly/monthly payroll for salary and hourly employees. You'll contribute to the yearend cycle and internal reporting requirements, ensuring error-free payroll processing aligned to statutory compliance and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the day-to-day payroll processes through data entry, mass uploads, time system inquiries, payroll processing jobs, and maintaining required authorizations and documents.
  • Review, analyze, and reconcile payroll and other payroll-related data according to established timelines, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure employees receive their payments on schedule by working to tight deadlines and effectively managing your time to meet our SLA's.
  • Handle complex and/or sensitive payroll requests and issues by providing exceptional customer service to both the customer and its employees using Workday case management.
  • Monitor and maintain accuracy of employee deductions, garnishments, and benefit enrollments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience, including in-depth knowledge of Dayforce Payroll module.
  • Working knowledge of Workday.
  • Bachelor's degree, with PCP Certification preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of Canadian payroll taxes and calculations for the various tax implications.
  • Exposure to global payroll processing.
  • Trained eye for detail and accuracy to consistently deliver error-free work.
  • Exceptional time management skills as proper prioritization, communication, and multi-tasking various projects under pressure will drive the Analyst's success in their role due to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, well-organized, seek development opportunities, and able to work independently.
  • A sense of urgency in solving customer requests to ensure timely resolution and an ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines is required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.).
  • Experience with EDI file feeds for payroll/benefits.
