Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Sales to join our team at the Government of Canada - Western. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our sales efforts and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the sales team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to implement organizational policies and programs, ensuring maximum impact and efficiency.
  • Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions, ensuring a strong foundation for future growth.
  • Co-ordination: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments, fostering collaboration and driving results.
  • Policy Formulation: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs, ensuring a clear direction for the team.
  • Representation: Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions, maintaining a strong reputation and building relationships.
  • Staff Selection: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, delegating authority and creating optimum working conditions.
  • Financial Management: Establish financial and administrative controls, formulate and approve promotional campaigns, and approve overall human resources planning, ensuring a strong financial foundation.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in sales leadership or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Location: Work must be completed at the physical location, with no option to work remotely.
